We help you fundraise.
Every year, we help accepted students raise thousands of dollars in funding for their Atlantis Fellowship. On this page you will find more information about our fundraising tools, flight-buying strategies and scholarships. Our team will do our best to help you find ways to fund your Fellowship, but in some cases this will take significant personal effort! Keep in mind that our application is free.
Low Cost Flights
We recommend searching for flights through sites like skyscanner.com or edreams.net. These sites often offer cheaper ticket options than Orbitz or Kayak, which can help when searching for flights but typically pull up the more expensive fare options. They do not show low cost carriers like Ryanair or Easyjet, which offer cheap flights throughout Europe and are included on skyscanner.com and edreams.net.
One helpful strategy to find cheap flights is to look for tickets with a layover (with plenty of time to avoid missing a leg) for both departing and arriving flights.
As with any part of our programs, our admissions and site coordinators are here to help you coordinate every step of the way. Should you have any questions regarding booking flights or cheaper fares, feel free to reach out to our team, and we'll help you in any way we can.
Merit Scholars Program
Please note: all Merit Scholarships for the Summer 2018 Atlantis Fellowship programs have been awarded.
The Atlantis Merit Scholars Program showcases students who thoughtfully apply their passion for medicine in unique and insightful ways. They are leaders who inspire excellence and motivation in others, and they are applicants who stand apart. We consider a variety of factors in the selection of our scholars, including academics, extracurricular involvement, leadership experience, background, and financial need. The Merit Scholars Program is a way for Atlantis to support the future leaders of the medical field. Our scholarships are highly competitive, and since we have many outstanding Fellows apply, less than 1% receive financial support of any kind. To be considered, you should demonstrate a majority of the following characteristics: 3.5 GPA or higher, financial need, leadership experience, extracurricular involvement, and a well-researched passion for Atlantis.

Atlantis is a proud partner of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA). Every year we award scholarships of $500 to AMSA members that can be applied toward an Atlantis Fellowship of four or more weeks. To be considered, please enter your AMSA member number in your application and let your Program Coordinator know that you want to be considered. Interested students will go through an interview process, and selected participants will receive the $500 AMSA scholarship.
