How many study abroad organizations are dedicated to focused education for pre-med and med students?
Schools like the University of Delaware, an Atlantis partner with the oldest study-abroad program in the United States, partner with us to coordinate logistics and operations for group Fellowships. Another example is Brigham Young University, which chose us to run a pre-med study abroad Fellowship in Spain and Portugal in 2017. We develop Fellowships that help our students succeed both within the medical profession and beyond. In 2014, 2015, and 2016 we had students representing over 200 universities throughout the United States, including all of the top-20 American universities.
From an Atlantis University Partner:
Randy M. Page, PhD
Professor and Director of Global Health
Brigham Young University
Through our partnership with Atlantis, we were able to offer a customized program for BYU students in Guadalajara, Spain in 2016. Eleven students participated in the program and the program turned out to be a fantastic academic, pre-professional, and cultural experience for these students. Throughout the program development process, Atlantis staff were very responsive, helpful, and flexible in helping us shape a program that would best fit our needs and interests. Once students were on site in Spain, students were in the professional and caring hands of an on-site coordinator and other staff in Spain. I am excited to be working with Atlantis in developing and delivering programs for our students in the upcoming year in Spain and Portugal.
